Sakura is the national flower of Japan which represents a time of renewal and optimism. Due to their quick blooming season, cherry blossoms also symbolize the transience of life, a major theme in Buddhism. Since their beauty peaks in around two weeks, the blossoms starts falling. During the Sakura season in Japan, people like to have cherry blossom parties with colleagues, friends, and family. Sakura reminds us to never let go of hope in life and how we need to live our lives to the fullest.
